Our Research Philosophy
We offer research to our clients to support their Technology Strategising. It is very tricky because its a self fulfilling prophecy. If we rate someone highly and we recommend them to our clients they naturally get more business and justify their ratings. Sometimes business analysts and architects at organizations find comfort recommending the top vendors assuming everything will work out fine perhaps without understanding the fit and benefits of each vendor. And on the contrary if we recommend niche players it could backfire on client relationships. Thats one of the reasons we don't do ratings. We don't have a list of top 5 vendors in each category to offer you.
The goal of our research is to provide unbiased analysis and recommendations and not make decisions on our clients behalf. We present the pros and cons of each vendor. Typically our reports contain a very strong element of coverage of vendors technology, stack, solutions and services. This allows for a broader vendor analysis and comparisons. Expect extensive use of Technology and Business Model Mind Maps in our reports alongside surveys, comparisions, insights and opinions.
We don't limit the number of vendors we analyse, there is no magic number i.e. 10 or 50 or even 150. We analyse as many as required to provide a wholesome picture of the landscape. We offer you credible and reliable research without any vendor speak or use of superlatives. We offer you research agnostic to vendors and their market cap or sales force size. We give you insights and do the laborious tasks of analysing the industry over multiple quarters. We give you research that will help you run your business and take sound decisions.
